A pilot crashes in a desert and meets a small boy from a tiny planet. The boy, the Little Prince, tells the pilot about his home, his difficult rose, his travels to other planets meeting strange adults, and his encounter with a fox on Earth.
The fox teaches him about friendship and seeing with the heart, helping the Prince understand his rose's specialness. The pilot and Prince become friends, but the Prince must return to his planet. He says goodbye, leaving the pilot sad but with lasting lessons.
